True Wyes fabricated from pipe can be ultrasonically, or x-ray tested. True Wyes are furnished in the heat-treated condition when required. ASME B16.9 does not cover True Wye’s or their dimensions. When True Wye Fittings require certification to material specifications, several options are available.
